Wendy Vittori was appointed vice president and general manager of Computer Group in January 2003.
For more than 20 years, Motorola Computer Group has been leading the innovation of intelligent building blocks for standards-based embedded computing. Wendy joins the Motorola talent with an extremely strong background in both business management and the computing and storage industries. Wendy’s background and worldwide experiences greatly complement and maximize Motorola’s efforts to diversify the company’s product portfolio and market position.

Her most recent position was as the general manager of the I/O and Bridges Division (now Storage Components Division), based in Chandler, Arizona, which she led from start-up to profitability inside of four years. This business develops embedded solutions, primarily for the storage industry, including highly-integrated I/O microprocessors, I/O components and I/O application platforms. Wendy also served as a member of Intel's corporate management committee responsible for new I/O standards, such as USB, Serial ATA and PCI-Express.
Wendy played a leadership role in the formation of Intel's server business in the mid-90s, where she was director of operations for the Enterprise Server Group, based in Oregon. When Wendy first joined Intel in 1989, she was director of marketing for Intel's Supercomputer Systems Division and became European general manager for this division, based in the UK.
Before Intel, Wendy was assistant professor at Northeastern University's College of Business in Boston, Massachusetts, where she taught strategic management and entrepreneurship. Among other positions, Wendy previously held engineering and marketing management positions at the Digital Equipment Corp.
Wendy holds a degree in philosophy and applied mathematics from Radcliffe College, and a master's of business administration from Northeastern University in Boston.
