Representative Debbie McCune Davis
Mrs. Davis was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania and moved with her family to Arizona in 1963. She attended R. E. Simpson, Orangewood and Washington High School in Phoenix. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Arizona State University in 1975.
She served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1979 to 1994 from West Phoenix. She served as Minority Whip from 1982 until 1994. She ran unsuccessfully for the Arizona Corporation Commission in 1994. She returned to the House of Representatives in 2003 as a Democratic representative for District 14. She serves on the Commerce and Military Affairs, Financial Institutions and Insurance, Rules and Ethics Committees.
Mrs. Davis is currently the Program Director for The Arizona Partnership for Immunization, a position she has held since 1996.
She is a founding board member of the National Board of American Immunization Registry Association; and a member of Success by Six Steering Committee, a Children’s Action Alliance program.
She and her husband, Glenn, have a blended family of five children. |
