Zito has been a leader in Arizona’s commercial and investment banking for over 20 years. Zito also served as the inaugural Chairman of the Governor’s Council on Innovation and Technology for the past 18 months. Before coming to Arizona in 1981, Ed served in numerous bank regulatory positions within the U.S. Treasury Department in New York and
Washington D.C. Ed Zito holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, as well as a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.
Zito is the Chairman of the Board of the Social Venture Partners Arizona, a philanthrophic organization focused on children’s issues and education. Zito also serves on numerous civic and community-related boards of directors; the Arizona Multibank (a Community Development Corporation), the Enterprise Network, the Central Arizona Project Association (addressing the water issues for the State of Arizona), the Xavier College Preparatory School Advisory board, the Catholic Community Foundation’s Scholarship Selection Committee, and the Flinn Foundation Bioscience Steering Committee.
Ed’s spouse, Pat Maio Zito, and daughters, Alissa (MBA student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles) and Jenna (Cronkite School of Communications and Journalism at Arizona State University in Tempe), reside in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Zito family are members of the Phoenix Country Club and the Estate Club at Gainey Ranch. |
